I've always been very interested in whatever technology I could get my hands on, especially computers. I'm very interested in Linux and Open Source software and have been using Linux, specifically the Arch Linux, Debian and Ubuntu distributions, on both servers and desktop computers since about 2003. However I've also spent a lot of time using the various versions of MS Windows, which comes in handy when fixing problems with other people's PCs. Since about 2005 I've built and fixed problems with personal computers and home networks for anyone who would hire me. So if you need a hand with anything get in touch.

I'm also quite passionate about music, primarily the rock and metal genres; I play the electric and bass guitar and listen to a lot of music from AC/DC to Machine Head (see my Last.fm profile). I also play Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophone in a semi-professional 10 piece jazz band called Decajazz who I have done many gigs with when not at university.
